Fall Discipleship Groups

You are invited to join a discipleship group this fall!  All groups will begin on Wednesday, September 6 with an introductory session and to distribute books. Books will be ordered on August 27, and you may sign up in the Welcome Center or by calling the church office (912-265-4883).

Habits of the Household: Practicing the Story of God in Everyday Family Rhythms gives you the tools you need to create structure that free you to parent toddlers, kids, and teens with purpose. Each chapter ends with practical patterns, prayers, or liturgies that your family can put into practice right away. This 8-week group will be led by Bud and Tricia Coffman and will meet on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00 PM.  Books are $20 each.

Embrace: Showing and Sharing the Love of Jesus is a faith-sharing resource to help you share your faith with boldness, confidence and grace. Embrace explores six values that comprise the essence of authentic faith sharing: Humility, Clarity, Prayer, Integrity, Worship, and Urgency. This 8-week group will be led by Judy Chambless and will meet on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00 PM. Books are $20 each.

Psalms, Part II: The book of Psalms contains many types of prayers—from praise, to pleas, to thanksgiving—that give voice to the joys, complexities, and challenges of the life of faith. This reality is what makes the book of Psalms timeless in its appeal. People of prayer can find words to express themselves to God in times when they are unsure of how to pray. In Part II of this journey through the Psalms, you will be introduced to Books II and III of the Psalms (Psalm 42-89). Through eight weeks of study and sharing, you will have an even stronger grasp of how these wisdom books can help inspire a moment-by-moment walk with God through the world. This 8-week group will be led by Scott Stanfill and will meet on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00 PM.  Books are $20 each.

Discipleship Essentials: A Guide to Building Your Life in Christ is an empowering, 25-week journey that will not only deepen your understanding of essential Christian teaching and strengthen your faith but will also encourage, invite, and challenge you to spiritually invest in others. This 25-week group will be led by Scott Stanfill and will meet on Wednesdays from 10:00-11:30 AM. Books are $25 each.
